Develop a model that predicts and describes changes in particle motion, temperature, and state of a pure substance when thermal energy is added or removed Directions: You are going to create one final model of the metal ball and ring answering our driving question - Why does the metal ball not fit through the ring when heated? Your model must include the following:
Directions: On your handout that you put into your journal today, make sure that you include the following as part of your notes...
When you are done, click "Read More" down below and check to make sure you have the correct information! Directions: With your partner, create a model of the State of Matter Lab that shows how the state of matter of water changed from the beginning of the lab to the end. Your model needs to include:
Essentially, you want to show why and how the water changed from the start when it was ice. We want to show what we cannot see with our eyes to show how and why it changed. When you and your partner are done and you have checked in with Ms. Saikin, click "Read More" Directions: In a small group, work together to try and categorize our questions about the metal ball and ring. How would you group the questions? Look at the example below from Ms. Jones's 7th grade Science class! I'd like to you come up with at least three (3) categories, but if you can come up with more, that's fantastic! We will have a brief scientist meeting to discuss your question boards.
